Request approval
Important: before proceeding, make sure you are familiar with the settings for Conditional triggers and Stage transition triggers.
In the Triggers and actions block, click the icon and a floating window will be displayed:
Click Select and choose the action type Request approval
A new section will open below
Important: before proceeding, it is important to create an approval type and configure the approval type.
Request approval
In the Approval type field, the created and configured approvals are listed, from which we will select one type:
In the Approver type field, we will select one type, for which we have the following options:
Email approval (unauthenticated access): By selecting this option, the suggested request will be the responsibility of an external person. As a result, new options are displayed:
An activity email-type field: by selecting this option, it will be necessary to inform the dynamic email-type field in the Activity dynamic field – email type field. The email associated with an activity will be responsible for the approval.
Client's primary email associated with the activity: by selecting this option, the person responsible for approval will be the client associated with the activity.
Enter an email: by selecting this option, it will be necessary to enter an email for approval in the Email address field.
Activity – User-type dynamic field: By clicking this field, it will be possible to inform, through the field Approver (activity – user-type dynamic field), the agent responsible for the approval request; in this case, the user will be internal, depending on the association (link) with the activity.
Position of the unit(s): By clicking this field, it will be possible to select, through the field Approver (position of the unit(s)), among the positions registered in the unit in question, a position that will be responsible for the approval request.
Activity creator: By clicking this field, the suggested person responsible is the activity creator.
Units – User-type dynamic field: By clicking this field, it will be possible to inform, through the field Approver (units – dynamic field, user type), the agent responsible for the approval request; in this case, the user will be internal, depending on the association (link) with the corresponding unit.
User: By clicking this field, it will be possible to inform, through the field Approver (user), the agent responsible for the approval request; in this case, the user will be internal, regardless of any link.
After configuring, click the Save button to record the settings. The action will be executed according to the logic of the configured trigger type. In this example, we used the conditional trigger type. As shown in the column Events, if the Simple Alternative (dynamic field) is equal to Alternative A, the action is executed.
To see whether the trigger was fired, go to the Change logs card in the activity details.
