Change the activity stage
Important: before proceeding, make sure you know the settings for Conditional triggers and Stage transition triggers.
In the Triggers and actions block, click the icon and a floating window will appear:
Click Select and choose the action type Change activity stage. Then, a new section will open below:
Change activity stage
In the Stage change focus field, we have the following options:
Change the stage of the activity itself: The action will be executed to change the stage in the activity itself. By default, this option is selected.
Change the stage of the parent activity: The action will be executed to change the stage in the parent activity.
Change the stage of sub-activities: The action will be executed to change the stage of the sub-activities.
Change the stage of associated activities: The action will be executed to change the stage of the associated activities.
It is possible to configure conditionals for the following options: Change the stage of the parent activity; Change the stage of sub-activities and Change the stage of associated activities.

In the New stage field, you can choose what the new stage will be:

After configuring it, click the Save button to record the settings. The action will be executed according to the logic of the configured trigger type. In this example, we used the conditional triggers type. As shown in the Events column, if the Simple alternative (dynamic field) is equal to Alternative A, the action is executed.
To see whether the trigger was fired, access the Change logs card in the activity details.
